VISION

FUK seeks ‘to become a world-renowned centre of learning where students are prepared with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they need in order to serve their community, state, nation, and the world through excellence in teaching, research, and service’.

The death has occurred of Mr. Simon Philip. A Lecturer with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Federal University, Kashere. Age 30 years. Simon Philip died on Friday, 5th August, 2016 in ghastly motor accident along Potiskum – Maiduguri road, and was buried on Sunday, 7th August, 2016 in Maino, Maiduguri.

Born on 14th August, 1986, Simon Philip had his education from Gavvakitakwe Primary School Gwoza, Borno State; E.Y.N Comprehensive Secondary School, Kwarhi, Mubi, Adamawa State.

He had his first degree in Computer Science, in Gombe State University (G.S.U), with a 1st Class degree Honours in 2011, and his masters’ degree in the University of Ilorin, Kwara State in 2015.

Mr. Simon Philip hails from Ngashe Gwoza Area of Borno State.

He was survived by parents, and eight (8) siblings.
