The Digital Bridge Institute an arm of the National Communication Commission (NCC), recently organized a five (5) day training programme tagged Advanced Digital Appreciation Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADAPTI). The training commenced on Monday, 15th August to Friday, 19th August, 2016, at the University ICT Centre. A total of 137 staff from Faculties, Departments and Units, participated in the workshop. The Programme was designed to bridge the gap between analog and digital knowledge for all Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
Declaring the training open, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. A. M. Gani, Made it known to the instructors/resource persons that FUK Staff are dedicated, committed and hard working and therefore enjoined the staff to take advantage of the present opportunity to increase their knowledge so as to build maximum capacity in becoming globalised Computer literates in this era of Information Communication Technology (I.C.T), at no cost.
The coordinator of the programme, Alhaji. Hassan Ado Faskari Further enjoined staff to take the training seriously as 80% of attendance would be the pre-requisite for issuance of certificate.
An inspector from the National Communication Commission, Dr. Dambatta advised participants to utilize the acquired Computer Skills judiciously by constantly practicing to remain relevant in a globalised ICT world.
