The Institute of Maritime Studies at Federal University of Kashere focuses on providing education and research in maritime studies to address environmental challenges. It aims to train professionals equipped with practical knowledge to contribute to sustainable maritime development, following international best practices. The Institute is supported by divisions in administration, works, and finance to ensure efficient operations.
Philosophy
The philosophy of the institute is to provide trained personnel who can proffer solutions to the environmental issues on maritime activities for the overall development of maritime in Nigeria and the world at large through international best practice.
Aims & Objectives
The aims of the Institute are to impart functional working knowledge in Maritime studies that can be used in the execution of academic research programme of maritime issues according to international best practice.
