INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS INTO THE POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into various Postgraduate Degree Programmes of the University.

Important Notice

• Only courses available for the session are advertised. Candidates are therefore advised to select from the courses listed in this advertisement.

• Candidates are required to complete and submit their application forms online, together with scanned copies of their credentials.

• All candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

• The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate must be uploaded with the credentials and presented alongside other original documents at the point of registration.

• Transcripts of Academic Records should be forwarded directly to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Federal University of Kashere.

• Applicants for PhD programmes are required to submit a research synopsis together with their application.

A. Postgraduate Programmes Offered

i. PhD Degree Programmes

• A candidate seeking admission into the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme must hold an academic Master’s degree of the Federal University of Kashere or any other recognized University.

• The PhD degree programmes are available only on a full-time basis.

ii. Master’s Degree Programmes

1. Academic Master’s Degree
A candidate seeking admission into an Academic Master’s programme must hold either:
a) A minimum of Second Class Lower Division degree of the Federal University of Kashere or any other recognized University, or
b) A relevant Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (Merit) on a 5-point scale, provided the University matriculation requirements are satisfied in the relevant area.

2. Professional Master’s Degree
A candidate seeking admission into a Professional Master’s programme must hold:
a) A minimum of Second Class Lower Division degree in the relevant area from the Federal University of Kashere or any other recognized University, or
b) A good Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant area with at least a Merit classification from the Federal University of Kashere or any other recognized University, provided the conditions prescribed under the Postgraduate Diploma programmes are satisfied, or
c) A minimum of Second Class Upper Division degree in a non-related area plus relevant professional qualifications obtained after passing a qualifying examination.

iii. Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

A candidate seeking admission into a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme must possess:
a) A qualification adjudged to be equivalent to a first degree (at least a Third Class degree or higher), or
b) A Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit or its equivalent, provided the University matriculation requirements are satisfied.

B. Application Procedure

• Log in to the Federal University of Kashere application portal: https://applicant.safapply.com/fuk

• Pay a non-refundable application fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (₦20,000.00) only.

• Create an account on the portal using your email address as the username and a password of your choice.

• Fill out the online Application Form and submit.

• Check your email account regularly for updates and feedback on your application.
