Philosophy

The philosophy of the institute is to provide trained personnel who can proffer solutions to the environmental issues on maritime activities for the overall development of maritime in Nigeria and the world at large through international best practice.

Aims & Objectives

The aims of the Institute are to impart functional working knowledge in Maritime studies that can be used in the execution of academic research programme of maritime issues according to international best practice.

Offices Under the Institute

  • Administrative division: which functions as the general administration of the Institution for its day to day activities
  • Works Division: This division is responsible for the supervision and maintenance of all Works and Physical Panning of the Institute
  • Finance Division: This is a division under the Bursary department of the University which coordinates all Finances of the Institution in Collaboration with the Bursary Department
